I haven't been on here in awhile!  It took me 20 minutes just to figure out how to get here to be able to update my page!  So, what have I been up to lately?  Well, I finished grad school in May.  It was a 3 year program and that pretty much took up all of my time.  I made beads at various times during that period but never had time (made time?)  to take photos and list them on Ebay or Etsy.  Now that I have graduated, I hope to focus on making beads, selling beads, etc before I start looking for a J-O-B.  I look forward to just taking some time off from school and work and hopefully having some time to be creative.

I took a class with Corina (www.corinabeads.com) last weekend.  I have made beads off and on for nearly 10 years, Corina's book and tutorials are how I learned, so it was very exciting for me to get to take a class with her in real life.  What clicked for me is that I need to work on my heat control to get finer stringer work and dots, so that is what I am practicing now.  Hopefully, it will become evident in my future work.  It was really a great class!  Corina is so generous with her knowledge and looking at her beads in person is very inspiring.  Our Bead Buddies group is really a great group of women that are also inspiring in talent and personality!  We were even the subject of Corina's latest newsletter!

I just wanted to let everyone know that I am still alive & still making beads!  Now, back to my torch and practicing heat control...pictures soon!
